Japan Budget Stay Review

Just got back from Japan less than 2 weeks ago, now refreshed and ready for new phase.
Company is undergoing restructuring so I have been assigned to new job title and new boss~

Waiting for new assignment so before that, here's a review for the hostels I stayed in Japan!
Stayed at 5 different places. This is totally my style of traveling, I cover as many places as possible so this Japan trip was quite tiring (waking up by 7am everyday Lol)

Just like my Taiwan and Indonesia trip, I landed and departed from different airports.
Landed at Haneda Airport (Tokyo) and departed from Kansai Airport (Osaka).

Path: Tokyo >> Fuji >> Nagoya >> Kyoto >> Osaka

All bookings are made prior to the trip at Booking.com. Since we traveled during Sakura season end of March to early April (super peak!) the bookings were made at least a month before travel dates, some up to 3 months.

These days I use booking.com and airbnb.com mostly for my accommodation bookings. However I make sure to read on the reviews. For booking.com I usually pick review of 8 and above. Read the reviews on location and accessibility.

All dorms we stayed in Japan has privacy with curtains, all beds have private sockets and head lamps (unless mentioned otherwise below).

1. Tokyo - Shinjuku Kuyakusho-mae Capsule

Address: 160-0021, Tokyo, Shinjuku Ward, Shinjuku-ku, Kabukicho 1-2-5
Cost: 4500Yen/night

Comment: I really wanted to try capsules because it started in Japan and is really popular among Japanese. However most capsule hotels are only for men. When I saw this with male and female option, I booked it right away even though it was on the pricier end and is indeed the most expensive accommodation of all the ones we stayed in Japan. We finally realized why is it usually only opened for men. Though the female washroom was perfectly normal, despite it being tedious, the men washroom was quite a culture shock, according to my guy colleague. So here is the procedure you need to do everyday despite staying for a few nights. First, put your shoes in the shoes locker (limited to 1 pair), bring the locker key to the reception, check-in (pay your fee), in exchange for your shoes locker key, you will get another bigger locker key (but not big enough for your bag). This other locker contains pajamas, towels and bedroom slippers. There will be racks where you can place your luggage. The washroom is fully equip with toiletries (from those for your face, body, hair etc), everything Shiseido! For ladies the toilets and showers are private and there is a make up room. There was a single floor for ladies. However for men, you shower openly, like naked open, which is normal in Japanese culture especially at hot springs. No worries, toiletries are still complete Lol. The capsules are quite scacious with personal TV, mirror, alarm clock, radio, lamps, sockets, ventilations and bedding was very comfortable. The only downside was the cover is just a piece of mat, which was noisy when people were moving around during bedtime. Overall it was a nice experience but clearing my locker and checking out everyday was quite tiring.

Verdict:

2. Fuji - Den's Inn

Address: 401-0304 Yamanashi, Fujikawaguchiko, Kawaguchi 2853-1, Japan
Cost: 3788Yen/night

Comment: The location is perfect and the 4 beds room with balcony is really spacious. The shower is complete with shower cream and shampoo, nice and spacious washroom. Both just right outside the room. The cafe is really cozy, where you get to use the utensils and cook your own meal at the kitchen. Breakfast of toast (jam and butter) with choice of coffee or tea can be ordered at 300Yen per set. When we were there, it rained half of the day and we stayed in enjoying breakfast looking out the glass panel windows. This is exactly why I always enjoy countryside better than the city. There was no buildings to look at but just trees and the mist covering the hilly scenery in a distance, bu the rain drops and chilly weather with hot tea/coffee just give a sense of tranquility. Den's Inn is walking distance to Kawaguchiko and nearest bus station is just next to the inn. Desktop computers can be accessed easily for free.

Verdict:

3. Nagoya - Glocal Nagoya Backpackers

Address: 453-0014 Aichi, Nagoya, Nakamura-ku Noritake 1-21-3, Japan
Cost: 3240Yen/night

Comment: Unlike most hostels which are very difficult to locate, usually among shoplots or housing areas, Glocal Nagoya Backpackers can be easily seen with big signboard and probably the only backpacker and a place with huge signboard around the corner. I was amazed with the ambiance of the hostel with a very nicely set up bar and lobby. There is a common room where you can use your own computers, lots of sockets provided. Fridge, microwave and cooking utensils available. It's also next to the laundry so it's super convenient. However toilets are only located on the 3rd and 2nd floor (females only)

Verdict:

4. Kyoto - Kyoto Hostel Ryokan

Address: 601-8031 Kyoto, Kyoto, Minami-ku Higashikujo Kawabecho 23-10, Japan
Cost: 3800Yen/night

Comment: This hostel is located in a very peaceful housing area, 24hours mart just around the corner. Room with high security! Need passwords to enter the room and also the back door. The receptionists are mostly students or on working holiday visa so are not Japanese but they speak fluent Japanese. You can always communicate in their mother tongue which can be English, Mandarin and even Korean. Initially we didn't know there is a nearer train station because it was not written in the site. We walked all the way from Kyoto station which is super far FOL. Only at the guest house we were told about Jujo subway station which is just 400m away, or less. Bus station is quite far so I think the subway pass is the best, can access Gion and Arashiyama as well using subway. Fushimi inari is a walking distance if you don't mind walking*.

Verdict:

5. Osaka - Guesthouse Sunanoshiro

Address: 530-0041 Osaka Prefecture, Osaka, Kita-ku Tenjinbashi 1-12-19
Cost: 3000Yen/night

Comment: Take note that the reception is not 24hours so do inform in advance if you are arriving during odd hours (besides the regular 3pm check-in, 11am check-out time). The bedroom is spacious, though the top bunk was squeaky at slight movements. I stayed for 1 night but the girl above my bunk was snoring so loudly so I was on my earphones and Spotify the whole night. They should really do surveys for dorm beds to check for people who snore. There are only 2 rooms, the mix dorm and female dorm, which are actually facing each other on the 2nd floor. The 2 washrooms and 2 toilets are all on the 1st floor, with the pantry and reception. The stairs and steps are quite narrow, so be careful should you have big luggage or long feet. Everything else is decent as it was the cheapest accommodation for our trip. The location is nice! Very close to Tenjinbashi food street and 24hours market just next to the train station.

Verdict:

*Everytime we asked ask for direction, the Japanese will tell us it's near and you can walk. And their definition of near is probably ~2km T_____T because they are so used to walking, which I really respect and salute them for. No wonder they are all so healthy and slim, even the elders still walk around using walking sticks and taking the subways.

Will blog about the itinerary soon!
Pardon me as I just spoiled my laptop and it's almost impossible to blog at work ^__^

Blogshop complaint

Haven't CNY already make people moody. Lately there are so many online business. I always buy things online because it is super convenient! Like I just sit in front of my computer in my pajamas, messy hair, haven't brush teeth, wash face already start shopping also no one knows. And just now I just got my parcel, went out in pajamas and a towel around my neck, the postman just smiled Lol

Ok nevermind that. So I am still careful with online purchases. If good ones I usually will go back at least 3 to 4 times, the customer service so nice and delivery very fast ones. But some really spoil my mood. See the shop got own domain and bank accounts all under the shop name (not personal account) so means registered company right? But service can be very lousy.

No need to mention name, just need to know the owner surname is Ng Lol. So I made a pre-order purchase which was supposed to arrive within 14 days, not only item didn't arrive but the shop did not notify me on anything until I had to send in a complain. After complain also I still chill cause maybe item is on the way, few days late nevermind. But the owner reply like....rawrrr. In my emails I always have Hi/Hello and Thank you/Thanks. Thank you even if the person didn't help me do anything because it is a courtesy.

I also ever get complain but I replied properly with loads of Sorry and thank you, I don't know whether the person felt better but to me I will! And this owner don't even have Hi/Hello and Thank you also wrote in short form TQ wtf. I know la almost CNY very busy, but I also busy leh ....

Replied my emails also bo lan bo juak, like it is not her problem if item delayed. She said will refund, and I asked to be informed if she refund but till now also no notice. Since they asked us to make payment within 48 hours after place order (I made mine right after I ordered leh) so I also wait 48 hours see she will refund or not.

I even attached the screen shot where it said the delivery will be made within 14 days to her. If wait till after CNY that is like a month after I ordered wtf. Luckily I don't really need new shoes for CNY, my shoe rack overflowing so not that mad. If it is for important function then really fire eh.

This kinda post seems like it suits Dayre more =.= Anyways, it is just something to remind the online shops out there. Customers make you earn money so please have some, even little courtesy like Hi, Hello or Thank you..make very big difference to many of us.

Anyways, the other I posted this on my Twitter, which many had interest in...I had like..5 retweets? Lol

It is something I always hold on to. When my Mum act like those sales girls and promoters are her slaves, I get very angry and I will tell her "How would you know? You ever work in supermarket? I had the same job!" Because instead of supermarket jobs, she experienced farming, like how she appreciates farmers, I also feel sad when people don't appreciate salesgirls or promoter. Hardworking ones la, not those kept chit chat and play handphone ones.

Go through some though time you will appreciate what you have. Like me now, I save up all my money for travel so I can see cultures and people of different places. I own a phone with a cracked screen (not Iphone and not Samsung just some ciplak phone), thank God I have laptop (Asus basic RM1.5k one), no Camera, no Tablet but I still feel happy as long as got money to eat and shop a little. Wahhh my bro after Dad got him a guitar (like more than RM1k one), bought him tab and now want camera! I die die ask him go save own money. His flight also I pay even though I haven't work =.=

Talking about this topic, now CNY very near so very common question from relatives. "Still studying?", "Working already?" Aiyooo thank God havent ask me when get married else I rage, people always think I am secondary school kid >_< Anyways, since I am now unemployed, these questions really difficult to answer. When I say "I'm waiting for employment", seems like I had been waiting forever and no job liddat. So I always add on "I just graduated" (even though that was 3 months ago *sobs)

Recently I am hooked up reading Gone Girl, there will be a movie adapted from the mystery-thriller novel soon starring Ben Affleck and Rosamund Pike so I need to finish it before the movie premier in third quarter of 2014! Getting more and more interesting!

**update 29.01.2014

So it has been more than 48 hours since the last email and I have yet to receive a refund from the shop.

I know Chinese New Year is coming so I am trying to keep cool but I really want to settle this before CNY, want to happy happy guo nian ma.. And I also don't want the shop to be in debt with me for CNY. I mean this is a shop with 4 different bank accounts, so difficult to make a refund? I mean if she cannot refund just say cannot refund and I will wait for the item even if it comes after CNY right? But she said yes, cannot refund, but till now no refund =.=

If it's me I will want to settle of my business problems, make all my customers happy before celebrating CNY. How to celebrate CNY with all these guilt?? Anyways will update again if no refund. If up till 1 week no refund I might as well expose the shop name, warn people not to shop there. Ask people pay within 48 hours but they cannot refund within 48 hours?? *sigh

**update 05.02.2014

3 days before it is 1 month after my purchase, finally received refund. Seems like they are very busy with CNY and finally back to business. Anyways, despite all the trouble and felt cheated, still thank you for the refund.

How to make attending Standing Pen during Concerts more Comfortable

I probably has no right to write this post cause I attended concerts only thrice (all on Standing Pen though) but I just hope this post will help you, and people around you, feel more comfortable when attending concert on Standing Pen. This post is made especially for fans attending Idols Kpop concerts! *sorry I end up having random Kpop concert pics to avoid the post being too wordy*

#justsorandom

So let's start with the benefits of Standing Pen (at least for me). I will not write this in point forms because the are actually inter related. This is because you will be NEAR to stage and there are so many things you can do.

Of course standing pens are the (1) nearest to stage! Most of the time you will get to (2) touch the idols and (3) look at them eye to eye. Very often as well you get to (4) throw them gifts on stage and these gifts will actually land on the stage. While attending concerts, of course you would want to jump, dance, move around etc. so standing is  the best place to (5) rock ya' bodies and not end up being nagged by the security! (Even though most of the times Seating Pen will also end up standing). If you are holding a banner or slogan, the (6) Idols can see the banner clearly! Photography and video-taking are strictly prohibited in any concerts but there is certainly no way to 100% stop these from happening. So if you are in the Standing Pen, you get to take (7) clear close up photos/videos without having any super zoom lens or high end cameras. Idols give fan services. You may end up (8) grabbing something they throw to the audience!

#justsorandom

However, not all these 8 points are applicable to Standing Pen. Even for Standing Pen you can have a few rows (messed up rows). Most of them are only applicable to the first row, like for example points number (2) and (4). So if you are at Standing Pen but not in the first row, here are the disadvantages:

(A) You only get to see whoever idols standing in front of you. You will not know what is happening the other sides of the stage except by looking at the big screen. (B) People push you in every direction. To the left, right, front, back so you will most probably able to stand without any energy needed due to the human body supports around you wtf. (C) You don't get to hold your banner much because you will be blocking audiences view behind you. Because Standing Pen is always on a flat ground (no degree) so you are the same level with other fans (hopefully you understand what am trying to say pfff) (D) Tighter security but this will depend on the country and organizer. Since you are so close to the stage, means the security will also be nearer to you. You need to be extra careful when taking photos or videos because not only your camera/recorder will be confiscated, you may end up outside the stadium throughout the rest of the show. (E) If you drop anything, you can hardly find it back. So imagine if you drop your phone, camera, banners etc., you will end you picking up a smashed-dirty-flat-with shoes prints-looking item or totally lost track of where it is being kicked to. (F) May end up unable to see anyone. This is a warning to those height below 160cm (as Malaysian female average). You will be "blinded" by the people in front of you and this again for those not at the first row.

#justsorandom

It is advisable that if you are really not confident on being able to grab the first row or if you often have breathing difficulties, do not go for Standing Pen. You may end up torturing yourself and getting bruises all over after the concert. Of worst, being lifted out of the stadium by securities (because you fainted during the show)

And if you really want to go for the Standing Pen, here are few advises to make yourself and people around you feel comfortable:

(I) Wear something loose and comfortable (clothes). I know jacket/sweater looks cool, may cost you thousands but being in the Standing Pen and standing so packed like sardines in a can, you probably should consider putting the jacket aside before entering the concert hall. A pair of short with t-shirt or singlet is best considering the atmosphere. For Muslims, go for simple tudung which you feel most comfortable in. Avoid ruffles, laces and bulky clothes cause it will not only limit your movement but also trouble people standing near you.

(II) Avoid excessive accessories. You will end up missing one side of your earrings, your bangles etc. Worst, your accessories may be fashionable but it will end up hurting someone. If you need to, use simple accessories, else, do avoid going for Standing Pen. You wouldn't want to end up being cursed or get a punch in the face!

(III) Girls: tie your hair up! OMG am not sure how many times I need to emphasize this one. Except if you are at row #1, you will NOT look appealing with your hair down to the idols but instead looking like a monster with your hair untied. When you attend concerts, and especially on Standing Pen, you will sweat. Your hair end up sticking to your neck, your face, people's face and what I saw worst by far, got stuck under someone's armpit wtf. Your hair will not be nice bouncy but will definitely end up wet (with sweat) and oily. Buns are best!

(IV) Dudes: Avoid the cap! You are blocking other's view! Moreover guys are usually taller (duhhh) so wearing a cap does not help at all. Gel up your hair if you need to but a cap will block your own view and others behind you.

(V) Shave~~ I know, ewwww! When you are at Standing Pen, you are practically in contact with people around you. Remember to always shave bcause the feeling of someone else hair (especially the arms) on your skin will definitely feel comfortable as well. And if you know you will be raising your hard (your idols say "Put your hands up!!!") then for everyone's sake, please shave your armpits.

(VI) Less is best! Avoid bringing huge bags and unnecessary items. Not only it will limit your movement, but your attention will also be divided to taking care of your bags/belongings. Huge backs will definitely give you shoulder pains and backaches because people will be putting weights (rest their hands) on your bags.

(VII) Use a handstraps or landyards for your camera/phone/camcorder to avoid dropping them and getting back smashed-dirty-flat-with shoes prints-looking item wtf.

(VIII) Hold on to that deodorant. I guess this point comes together with what you wear. Less clothes is best because you will sweat less, and if you need to, do get a get deodorant and a decent perfume. This will not only make yourself comfortable but also people around you.

(IX) Avoid heels! Of course in Standing Pen you would want to stand tall among crowds but for safety purposes, you wouldn't want to break your ankle or crush someone's feet. If you really need to stand tall, try using shoes with insoles or height enhancing pads. Wedges can also be helpful but we all know that shoes with thick soles/bases are always better than single heel heels.

(X) Small banners are best. I know there are many fansites making slogans or banners for these Kpop concerts but please be aware that these banners/slogans are potential view blockers. To avoid being cursed at but you still want attention from your idols, make small but outstanding banners/slogans/boards. Make sure that the size is practical and does not cause trouble or disturbance to any party.

 #justsorandom

One more thing, since KPOP Idols are infamous for having their own official lightsticks,
here is what may happen, or at least DID happen to most of us in moshpit:

BIGBANG VIP Crownstick >.<
Now you know why I asked you to tie up your hair? Else you may just get unwanted free "combing" service

These are just from my experiences and complains I got from my friends! If you have any suggestions on how to make attending Standing Pen during Concerts more comfortable, do write a comment! ^^

My experience: New York Skin Solutions

This is a lengthy post, supposed to be with pictures but am so tired since I slept only 5 hours last night. Maybe after I take a good sleep I will edit with pictures. Else if you don't mind, just read on.... ^^

I guess most of you heard of this, no doubt it is one of the best beauty centre(?) in Malaysia. So I being curious and I heard from some that it is good, I bought a RM25 facial voucher from Mydeal.com which is 95% after discount. The original price for the facial package once is around RM580. I went to the Festival City branch because it is the nearest to my condominium :)

(cr: Google image)

When I entered I was asked to wait. Maybe it was a Saturday so they had endless customers and nobody was there to serve me drink or ask me stuffs. After about 5 minutes I was flipping the before/after booklet, I was called into the consultation room. So I got my skin type and condition checked (skin analysis). I was told and how good/bad it is, why is it good/bad and what will they do to help us. The consultant/beautician drew image of skin layers and told me how the skin works beneath the surface. This whole process took maybe half an hour.

Looks something like this but of course different software used.
They didn't allow me to take picture or bring the paper they scribble on back =.=
(cr: Google image)

I was brought into the cubicle, got changed and started off my facial. They had sooo many masks on me and all of them are chilled so I was feeling quite cold. I seriously lost count of the number of masks they had on me wtf because in between I was snoozing off. Here is the problem. My original consultant/beautician was not feeling well so I had 3 other beauticians doing extraction and masks for me. And I do dislike so many people touching my face but because all of them had their own customers, I had to tolerate.

They did cleansing twice, a few sheet masks (all chilled), extraction in between the sheet masks (twice, by different people. I don't know they do it on purpose or because they changed people and do not know the previous beautician already did it??), honey + vitamin mask (this one is the best but I had to lie on the bed with stiff face and neck for quite a long time though she said 10minutes because all of the beauticians were too busy) and finally moisturizer. The whole process took 3 hours.

After I was done, I was brought to the consultation room. My skin is scanned and checked again. There are very drastic differences and for New York Skin Solutions, they are not normal facial centre but they emphasize on treatment and result. Which I really saw even after just one treatment.

They gave me superb discount and it was totally worth it but due to current financial burden, on me and my parents. The whole package of 10 times treatment cost RM4k with customized products (very detailed based on skin type and 30 masks). However, I told them I am financially unstable right now. I do not have a house, do not have a car, I barely save anything from my allowance and cost of living in KL is crazy.

It seemed that this part is quite difficult for them to understand. I spent 1 hour in the consultation room just telling them that I am financially unfit and my Mum would kill me if she knows I spent that crazy amount. They asked me to call my Mum, so after 5 trials I finally reached her and yeap, she scolded me on that time itself. And finally they offered a 3 times RM588 package. Again, I told her my pay is not in (which is super true) and my money now is just enough to eat wtf! She said it's okay just pay RM100 deposit first so I did! Heck I was in there for so long and I even made my Mum upset (and she was sick T____T)

I was supposed to pay the remaining RM488 during my next session but if I am to pay it on my own, with current financial condition, I might just die of starvation with a beautiful face wtf. After talking to my friends, I (we) decided that I should just assume I did a RM125 facial (still in face cheap since the actual price was RM500 over). True! Mum said I should do that when I am working and earning stable income (of course if there is excess, else...dream on..) And I got mini freebies.

(cr: Google image)

So there you go, RM25 facial because RM125. Still cheap and worth it but the was they push me, total hate and unacceptable! I told them I need my parents to know to spend such amount. I am 22 and an adult but the money is not mine! They kept saying just pay first, tell my Mum later and show her my face and tell her how worthy that money spent was ^%$^#$*%(#*%!! I'm still Mum's only daughter okayyy.

Should have took a selca of my before and after but I rarely take selca these days. Don't find myself amusing myself, what more to say amusing to others =.= My sudden rashes & pimples break out a month ago freaked myself out. Turned out it was probably due to allergy because it got better after my Mum gave me allergy medicine??

You can blacklist my name for neglecting that RM588 package you gave me. I know all of the beauticians are great people, they really wanted to help me and trying to give me the best price within my budget but please I am a poor person (who just happens to own a laptop and has internet connection wtf). I will be rich one day and buy the best package LOL

Mum sent a lengthy SMS after that and Dad sent a length e-mail. They must be worried shit cause I tried to call 5 times or so and my Mum ahd to explain why she didn't allow me to sign for the package. Ask me to study well and get a good job. Dad called and email to teach me how to have good skin without spending much money. I was so heartbroken T____T. Just let me have an ugly face but please make my parents happy >.< I will drink more water, take more vege & fruits, exercise more often, eat less oily food, protect myself from the sun (exact ad advises from my Dad, he even had them emphasize in bold in his email).

Currently doing well. Hitting the gym 4-5 times per week. Cardio for 40-45mins, some muscle shaping workouts (LOL here cause my Internship supervisor is a gym freak too and we bump into each other quite often and the other day he taught me how to use some machines. mind you, he's at least 55+). Drank juices, no oily food, at least 1.5L (?) per day (at least for now, I know it's much less but I used to drink lesser).

On a side note, I miss home....
That's all, bye..*sniff sniff*

With love,
Mei Lin

Life is funny

P/s: This is just a short post on my point of view. I am writing it in my blog just because I don't think it suits to be a Facebook status or a tweet on Twitter wtf. Lately I had been thinking a lot about life. Not my own life. I had been very busy body thinking about everyone's life wtf. Read on, this might prevent you from Insomnia wtf. Here goes...

Just now I watched the daily news on TV. Towards the end they usually broadcast overseas news. The first news that caught my attention was of a pair of Siamese twins in Japan. Their surgery is too costly for the parents because they are not from a well to do family. And they wish to get help from the public. Besides that, the surgery to separate them will be very risky because both of the babies are suffering from Yellow fever and heart problems. They are also connected with a large blood vessel and may cause complications if separated. Even though only I only saw them through my lousy old TV screen FML, those tiny round eyes looking like those on Puss in boots and made me think whether God is really this unfair.

Right after the news about the Siamese twins, it was a news about the war in Afghanistan. I saw people shooting at each other, then there were bombings, from the TV screen of course wtf. Terrorists running around firing their armor at random people on the street. Activists go to the extreme and get hundreds or thousands killed. All of a sudden I had this thought. When part of the world tried so hard to keep someone alive, tried so hard to sustain lives after lives...there are other parts of the world where people don't seemed to bother about live, rather than to sustain, they would destroy lives.

Life is funny (or weird in the matter of fact) isn't it? When someone is going through hell trying to conceive a baby, spending hundred thousands just to get pregnant...another person just get pregnant so easily and choose to dumb the baby by the roadside, or worst in the rubbish bin.

A friend once said, there can be no kindness without evil and there is no evil without kindness. If only either one of these existed, everything would have been neutral, no one is kind and no one is evil. So do you still question God for good and evil? I would gladly have some opinions on this :)

Another day at Ipoh Foh San

Previously I promised to be a good blogger after I got a camera so here goes.
For travel and food post,
pictures must be extra large so that readers will droll over the food right? :D

So yesterday after sending my friends to the train station at 5.30AM,
we decided to go Foh San for Dim Sum breakfast.
This would be my 3rd or 4th time here.

There are a few other Dim Sum restaurant around the same area.
But Foh San is among the famous one in Ipoh.
You most probably read reviews by other Perak food blogger about this.
Usually during weekends, people will need to queue up and wait for tables.
So if you want to have a seat, like us, usually we plan early
and be there before 6.30AM.

When we arrived, it was still pitch black.
Only the coffee shops were open.

Usually they sell newspaper beside the entrance.
So while waiting, you can just buy a paper and read.

It has 2 floors. I have not been to the upper floor but my friend said it is nice!
She said the interior has very traditional Chinese look.

Because usually those who come early for Dim Sum are the senior citizens,
they provide waiting area with chairs so the old folks can rest and read newspapers while waiting.

Besides the Dim Sum pushed in trolleys but the aunties dressed in pink,
you can side orders other heavier dishes such as rice and noodles from their menu.

Here they only serve tea.
All kinds of tea.
The tea is serve in a jug and is bottomless.
You can refill as many times as you wish.
For regular customers, so bring their own tea leaves (maybe medicine).
And they asked the waitress to help them make the tea while they enjoy some dim sum.

From here onwards,
I don't have anything much to say.
These are all what we ordered and what we think are yummy!
Starting drooling~

This is some prawn crisp, eat them with mayonnaise.
Really yummy, we ordered 4 sets of these!

This is Char Siew Pau, nothing very special but was nice.

This is steamed Lo bak gou.
Usually what we usually see are fried Lo bak gou
but this steamed Lo bak gou is of of the best here.

Many other dim sums which I don't know their names.
We just point to whatever looks tasty is the tray. Heheheh :P

The century egg porridge is one of my favourite.
Well, I love anything that has to do with rice :)

This is some skimmed milk pudding.
It has some ginger taste but is a bit too sweet for my liking.
But I do think it is good for health.
Everything here seemed to be good for health. :)

Here are my "makan kaki(s)".
You can ask us anything that has to do with food.
We even have the Perak and Sarawak Food book.
We make sure we taste all the good foods. Hahahah

The bill came out to be Rm70.70.
It is actually quite cheap for 4.
I do admit food here is quite pricey.
But we almost reach RM100 for 4 during our first time here :P

We were among the earliest and among all the earliest,
we were the latest to leave :P
It was already bright daylight when we left.

After that friend's Mum took us for coffee.
Ipoh is famous for their white coffee.

But it is too thick for my liking.
Those who is cannot survive without coffee, should definitely try this.
I was all dizzy and bloated after this cup.

After a drink, went to Ipoh Parade to get some things settle.
Stopped by at Popular Bookstore.

I used to have reading as a hobby.
I used to read romance, thrillers and those investigations novels.
However for my course, I need to do a lot of extensive reading.
So I end of having this thought that how can I start reading novel and fictions
when I can't even finish my text books and references?

Anyways due to some problems in life.
Or maybe because I am getting older,
I start to realized that this bullshit university life is not everything.

I wanted to get back my reading habits.
I started off with some self enrichment book.
"50 simple ways to live longer life"

My Dad used to tell me,
no matter what book is it, just read.
Even if it is an entertainment magazine, comics, fashions etc
As long as you read, you will gain something new.

I also grabbed "Instant Korean" for my preparation for South Korea.
There are many audio learning and you can even download notes online.
However I wanted something which I can bring around daily and read whenever and wherever.

Alright, that was all for what happened yesterday.
Besides I puked after I reach my Uni because I am not used to drinking coffee.
And church at night.

Stay tuned for what is going to happen today and in the coming days.
I will put my life in photographs.
Photography is amazing. It's memory.
Big size pictures are amazing right?
Imma edit my blog layout :)
