"Don’t date a girl who travels"

I found this article being shared by a friend who travels a lot and we even miss backpacking. Can you believe it, rather than hotel and tour we really really miss backpacking. The article is so relate-able! Not entirely but there is a reason why I much prefer the single life right now. The only guy who I would date is probably someone who can carry a backpack, sleep in a dorm, bath in a shared toilet and walk for more than 12 hours a day. Trust me, I asked many and not many like such lifestyle. Those who are rich wanted at least a 3 stars hotel, those who are lazy much preferred tour guides...but we somehow, at times, enjoy being lost?

She’s the one with the messy unkempt hair colored by the sun. Her skin is now far from fair like it once was. Not even sun kissed. It’s burnt with multiple tan lines, wounds and bites here and there. But for every flaw on her skin, she has an interesting story to tell.
Don’t date a girl who travels. She is hard to please. The usual dinner-movie date at the mall will suck the life out of her. Her soul craves for new experiences and adventures. She will be unimpressed with your new car and your expensive watch. She would rather climb a rock or jump out of an airplane than hear you brag about it.
Don’t date a girl who travels because she will bug you to book a flight every time there’s an airline seat sale. She wont party at Republiq. And she will never pay over $100 for Avicii because she knows that one weekend of clubbing is equivalent to one week somewhere far more exciting.
Chances are, she can’t hold a steady job. Or she’s probably daydreaming about quitting. She doesn’t want to keep working her ass off for someone else’s dream. She has her own and is working towards it. She is a freelancer. She makes money from designing, writing, photography or something that requires creativity and imagination. Don’t waste her time complaining about your boring job.
Don’t date a girl who travels. She might have wasted her college degree and switched careers entirely. She is now a dive instructor or a yoga teacher. She’s not sure when the next paycheck is coming. But she doesn’t work like a robot all day, she goes out and takes what life has to offer and challenges you to do the same.
Don’t date a girl who travels for she has chosen a life of uncertainty. She doesn’t have a plan or a permanent address. She goes with the flow and follows her heart. She dances to the beat of her own drum. She doesn’t wear a watch. Her days are ruled by the sun and the moon. When the waves are calling, life stops and she will be oblivious to everything else for a moment. But she has learned that the most important thing in life isn’t surfing.
Don’t date a girl who travels as she tends to speak her mind. She will never try to impress your parents or friends. She knows respect, but isn’t afraid to hold a debate about global issues or social responsibility.
She will never need you. She knows how to pitch a tent and screw her own fins without your help. She cooks well and doesn’t need you to pay for her meals. She is too independent and wont care whether you travel with her or not. She will forget to check in with you when she arrives at her destination. She’s busy living in the present. She talks to strangers. She will meet many interesting, like-minded people from around the world who share her passion and dreams. She will be bored with you.
So never date a girl who travels unless you can keep up with her. And if you unintentionally fall in love with one, don’t you dare keep her. Let her go.

Just yesterday I was telling my brother that after 3 years I will take a year off from work, and he said that is impossible, how can I take long leave right when I just started? Like I will still be a newbie then. Like mentioned in the article, I might just turn out doing something out of the blue. I don't feel like settling down just for one thing. But it is the future and nobody know's what the future holds. And, somehow men tried to impress me on where they have traveled to (after knowing my joy for traveling), instead of telling me about their job or family background! Which is why guys who backpacks, definitely not luggage dragger, always impress me! But if you dress in Tom Ford suits that might impress too! ;D

Recycle cooking oil from sewage

Disclaimer: This is a very disgusting post, do not scroll down if you just ate and gets nausea very easily. I almost puked typing this. Read at own risk, or better, prepare a plastic bag, just in case wtf. And photos credited to Google Image.

As people get smarter, they get more cunning. The big brains are used for something worthless. Advancement is pharmaceutical is used to create dangerous products which kill people. Even eggs can be fake?? Poultry are injected for good sales. And now the oil from the sewage is recycled and sold to the public? Pffffff! wtf your people, your younger generations are the one who going to consume these, Y u NO the brain??!!

Before all these advancement, life was simple. We get everything from nature. Now that the nature is polluted and depleting, we try to find alternatives to replace nature. However none of these replacements are near nature, they are just mixtures of chemicals.

Have you seen oil floating in the sewage or drain near any food center/court?

Let me refresh your memory:

Ermmm.....something near that.

Truth is this is a very old news about people in China recycling their oil, from the SEWAGE and GUTTERS. Also they pay the food stalls certain amount for their OVERUSED/DISCARDED cooking oils. This news appeared again yesterday on a China TV channel because after much enforcement, there are still illegal mills making recycled oil. And this time they showed the whole process from collecting the oil to keeping them in bottles to sell in the market. They also interviewed the people who did all those dirty jobs.

According to The New York Times, Asia Pacific back in 2010 when the news just broke out, 1 of 10 meals in China is prepared using recycled oil. Indeed these oil are sold at much cheaper rate, which is why we are told to be cautious about these oil imported from China. The bottles used to fill these recycled oils are also recycled bottles and can be labeled differently from the actual product inside.

Workers collect oil from sewage or drainage near restaurants. *gulp*
Actually you don't need to see the whole process, knowing where are the sources for these recycled oil is enough to open up your eyes and left your jaw hanging wtf

Then they bring back the oil, separate the solids, plastics or whatever.
I don't want to say this but probably so dead insects or rats wtfffff.

The oil is then boiled to further separate water from oil when it cools down. Flavoring, the one I heard on yesterday's news was peanut flavoring, and also colouring are added.

And then...you get the oil which looks like new but of course you don't know the process of how it was created. You just go to the supermarket and buy the cooking oil on sales wtf

Most of these are the common cooking oil used and peanuts oil wtf. When I was watching the news with my Dad, he said Thank God we are using local oil, Corn oil or Olive oil. Lets pray that people stop getting smarter, making money the "smart" (ass) way. These recycled oil is 100 times more harmful than Arsenic.

It is reported that recycled oil is also found in Vietnam so be aware.

Not alone, you've reached this far

Yes, it's mostly words but if you plan to kill yourself, read on. It is not going to kill you, but maybe stop you.

I am not sure whether I am too carefree lately or I just think life happens this way. I was in a lot of trouble lately, endless trouble. I had to go to and fro the security office, don't ask me why. I had problems with one of my course, mentioned in one of my previous post. I almost lost my belongings, all the cash and cards. Had a big quarrel with my brother. And the list goes on...

I was super stressed up, I really cannot figure out what else to do. There was no one really there to help me, to me these are my problems and I need to solve them myself. Most of the time I tell one or two friends, but keep the rest of the story to myself. The only one I really talk to is Jesus.

Perhaps I should open out more. I guess my brother and I are facing so many problems right now, that was why we quarreled, cause we were unable to get hold onto ourselves. There are times when I thought that there must be the reasons to suicidal cases, and was I facing something near?

Then I had these thoughts, I may be at my worst. But there can be someone out there facing worst. I may be failing this one subject, but how about those final year students who almost graduated but was sent to tests by God? What happen if just before your graduation, you had to quit Uni? I may be insulted mentally, if not worst how about those physically and mentally?

Maybe through these problems, it is still back to how you handle yourselves. I have no doubt in telling that though how much I pray for God's help, I still tear myself to bed. I scream for help, or just a little comfort. There might be nothing in return, but I cannot expect anything more for God is equal. I am not alone.

When I get too worried, it reminds me of people who suffers more than me. There are people out there living in fear and sufferings. Those who fear that anytime death will come taking them. Fear loosing the beloved ones. So for now, no matter how bad life treats you, perhaps the only way, is to be thankful, be grateful.

At least you survived this far :)

And I apologize for the rough vocab and grammar. It's 4.30am now as I type this line. I need to wake up at 7am. Nites

How I grow my hair

wtf I know the title sounds weird but I am among the sucky blogger.

The last time I actually wrote a full page of English was during

Academic Writing in my First year of studies.

.
.
.

Orite back to topic.

So many people had been asking how I "grow" my hair.

As in how I maintain it and make it grow so fast wtf.

My hair had been growing growing growing...

and I just let it grow because I don't know what to do with it! wtf

.
.
.

Let you see the pictures first.

So long didn't camwhore.

These taken using my webcam.

Damn lazy hold camera and tilt head.

But still tilt head for webcam wtf

How is it so straight?

I straightened my hair twice, curled one.

The last time I did any of those damaging stuffs was...3 years ago??

Haha. My hair is this straight cause I am BORN with straight hair.

So whenever I try to curl them permanently or temporarily,

it just won't last me a day.

At first my aim was to grow it till my chest.

Now it reached my chest so I've got no aim already.

Just like when you set a target and once you hit the target,

you feel lost wtf

So people had been asking what shampoo I am using

that my hair is so straight and glossy.

So I said: "Sunsilk Damage Control! The orange colour one." wtf

From left to right:

Conditioner, Shampoo, Hair mask

I use the whole range except the leave-on conditioner and serum.

I think those 2 are only necessary if you have really dry and frizzy hair.

In Uni I am actually using only shampoo and conditioner.

I left my hair mask at home...and is too lazy to buy new one wtf

Where the volume comes from?

I was born with my head covered with jet black hair wtf.

My hair was super whooper dooper burger thick as a young girl.

That is why I always had short hair (coconut hair precisely)

Yea, like Show Lo's hair in Hi! My Sweetheart

except mine was thicker and higher wtf

Those who saw my childhood picture at my house would know

And I had dandruff and "kutu" (is it called tick??)

My Mummy used to help me kill them.

Ewwwwww I know.

Bloody blood sucking arachnid maybe that's why I can't grow fat wtf

But the hair is getting too long and draggy that

I am starting to develop bold patch.

That is what happen when your hair is too heavy wtf

One more thing,

I've not comb my hair since I stepped into Uni.

Reason, I forgotten to bring my comb back here.

Or maybe I did but I misplaced it.

But good thing my hair don't tangle up,

never went out of place.

I go to sleep LIKE THAT,

wake up LIKE THAT,

and go to lectures LIKE THAT.

And no one knew until I told them. Haha.

But I found tying NEAT ponytail difficult without a comb,

so I bought a comb at Guardian last Friday wtf.

Still I hate using comb,

because I always misplace it.

Meaning even with a comb I still prefer going without it wtf

Combing too much makes your hair breaks.

Tying up too tight and too often create similar damage.

The hair is really fragile.

One last advice,

reduce the usage of hairdryer, straightening iron and curling iron.

I use them only if I'm in a hurry, or going to an event.

I make sure I use heat protection lotion.

But most of the time I am too lazy.

I go to events LIKE THAT,

yea without even combing my hair. Haha.

.
.
.
Occasionally brush your fingers through your hair,

give it some air.

Your hair is alive, it needs air too.

Do you know that it continues to grow even when you're dead?

Wondering why ghosts have long hair?

Haha! It's actually a myth.

Hair and nails of corpse look longer because

the skin retract (shrinks) due to dehydration.

But still, no harm to give it some air!

It does help reduce dandruff, I think :)

.
.
.

And yea, I took off my braces :D

Crazy shopping spree

This is like the biggest ever shopping spree I am doing.

Online shopping kills, for real.

A list of what I have purchased:

1. 1 long purse
2. 6 polo tees
3. 1 BB cream
4. 4 E.L.F makeup
5. 2 pairs of shorts
6. 1 Formal blouse
7. 3 lace dresses
8. 2 chiffon dresses
9. 1 bf tee
10. 1 sweater
11. 2 pairs of jumpsuits
12. 1 sling bag
13. 2 tank tops
14. 1 pair of contact lens
15. 1 cardigan
16. 2 floral dresses
17. 1 Idol CD

Yet to add up to what I didn't purchase online:

1. 1 T-shirt
2. 1 pair of sneakers
3. 1 pair of formal heels
4. 1 pair of shorts
5. 1 pair of formal pants
6. 2 nail polishes

In f*cking 2 weeks only! fml

All are for myself except the 6 Polo tees where other 5 are for presents.

So many other miscellaneous I didn't add in.

Total of all these way exceed RM1k wtf

And I pay them all by myself fml (but give clap can?)

And...I still got 2, or 3 dresses back in Uni new with tag on that I never wear,

more fml.

The bf gonna kill me, he hates me spending money though it's mine.

Good thing I am going vintage now,

though I am still obsessed with lace and floral stuffs as you can see above.

So I get my Mum's old bag and modify them.

That's why you don't see me buy bags.

Except that only one I wanna use for lecture (big enough for 5 files wtf)

But I am happy.

Reader's digest said happiness extend life from 7.5 to 10 years.

Much better than not smoking & drinking, so ok la right? :)

If got free time I model all my vintage clothes.

Now working to earn back fml

If I am a spender, I have to be the earner.

Or else, I will die in poverty. Correct? :)

20 things in 2010

Summary of my 2010.

Haha I know it is already the 4th of January 2011 but I was only back in Kuching yesterday.

And I had not been touching my laptop since Christmas eve.

If you saw me post up anything before 3rd of January, that was my cousin's laptop.

Well, to cut the story short I will first warn you guys that this post will be really like a summary.

Few lines of words and no pictures cause now I am feeling all drowsy and sleepy.

So basically what happened in 2010 in chronological order if I don't make any silly mistakes and my memory does not fool me.

1. Entered my 1st year 2nd semester of degree. Means 4th semester in UTP.

2. Celebrated Valentine's away from the bf because back in Kuching for Chinese New Year. No big deal also cause everyday is Valentine's fhl

8. Back to Uni for 2nd year 1st semester, 20 credit hours almost killed me but I survived. Next week result's gonna be out fml

9. 1 week field trip all the way to Cameron, Gua Musang and somewhere in Kelantan. Challenging but wonderful experience. Many more field trips to look forward to in my coming semesters.

13. Ate in a Korean restaurant for the first time, on my birthday. Ate Domino's, Snowflakes, Madam Kwan's, Carl's Junior, Itallianies, many other famous foods etc. Ate so much this year, especially this sem. When I went back to Kuching everyone realized I grew fatter.

14. Celebrated our 2nd year anniversary in the middle of our exam. Not in the exam hall fyl but the day before was a paper and 2 days after was rows of papers. We were lucky our anniversary fall of a break between those papers.

15. KL and Sunway! My 2nd time at Sunway and this time I get to try now only the water slides but also the All Terrain Vehicle (ATV), flying fox, kayaking etc.

18. New year countdown in bed cause I was having bad, very bad period pain. Cold sweat and I cried while rolling on bed. But I still got lots of wishing through text messages. Especially from him who despite all the pain never make me regret being born a girl. Thanks everyone! Love ya!

Cheers for 2011!! Meanwhile, let me think on the other 2..

How scary can Facebook be?

from http://sdow.semanticweb.org

Facebook saves...
...things that have been deleted. Be it your status update, a picture of you, drunk and unbecoming, or even after you've deactivated your account - they keep it after it's gone from your memory.

Facebook knows...
...where you've been. Whether you're stalking your ex, checking up on an old friend or taking a look at someone's farm; Facebook keeps a log of clicks of everything you've, well, clicked on.

Facebook knows...
...if you have friends. It can find out the frequency with which you visit someone's profile and use this data to judge who your buddies are. How to tell this is true? Search results for friends are not listed alphabetically but according to how often you interact with them.

Facebook is your...
...psychologist. Instead of doing focus groups and sampling for its new features, the social networking site carries out psychologist tests for new features on you. To boot, eyeball tracking tells them what you're looking at.

Facebook is a...
...mail thief. It can retrieve any message you've sent as all of them are stored in its servants. In fact, they'll keep them long after you've trashed the trash.
