Another day at Ipoh Foh San

Previously I promised to be a good blogger after I got a camera so here goes.
For travel and food post,
pictures must be extra large so that readers will droll over the food right? :D

So yesterday after sending my friends to the train station at 5.30AM,
we decided to go Foh San for Dim Sum breakfast.
This would be my 3rd or 4th time here.

There are a few other Dim Sum restaurant around the same area.
But Foh San is among the famous one in Ipoh.
You most probably read reviews by other Perak food blogger about this.
Usually during weekends, people will need to queue up and wait for tables.
So if you want to have a seat, like us, usually we plan early
and be there before 6.30AM.

When we arrived, it was still pitch black.
Only the coffee shops were open.

Usually they sell newspaper beside the entrance.
So while waiting, you can just buy a paper and read.

It has 2 floors. I have not been to the upper floor but my friend said it is nice!
She said the interior has very traditional Chinese look.

Because usually those who come early for Dim Sum are the senior citizens,
they provide waiting area with chairs so the old folks can rest and read newspapers while waiting.

Besides the Dim Sum pushed in trolleys but the aunties dressed in pink,
you can side orders other heavier dishes such as rice and noodles from their menu.

Here they only serve tea.
All kinds of tea.
The tea is serve in a jug and is bottomless.
You can refill as many times as you wish.
For regular customers, so bring their own tea leaves (maybe medicine).
And they asked the waitress to help them make the tea while they enjoy some dim sum.

From here onwards,
I don't have anything much to say.
These are all what we ordered and what we think are yummy!
Starting drooling~

This is some prawn crisp, eat them with mayonnaise.
Really yummy, we ordered 4 sets of these!

This is Char Siew Pau, nothing very special but was nice.

This is steamed Lo bak gou.
Usually what we usually see are fried Lo bak gou
but this steamed Lo bak gou is of of the best here.

Many other dim sums which I don't know their names.
We just point to whatever looks tasty is the tray. Heheheh :P

The century egg porridge is one of my favourite.
Well, I love anything that has to do with rice :)

This is some skimmed milk pudding.
It has some ginger taste but is a bit too sweet for my liking.
But I do think it is good for health.
Everything here seemed to be good for health. :)

Here are my "makan kaki(s)".
You can ask us anything that has to do with food.
We even have the Perak and Sarawak Food book.
We make sure we taste all the good foods. Hahahah

The bill came out to be Rm70.70.
It is actually quite cheap for 4.
I do admit food here is quite pricey.
But we almost reach RM100 for 4 during our first time here :P

We were among the earliest and among all the earliest,
we were the latest to leave :P
It was already bright daylight when we left.

After that friend's Mum took us for coffee.
Ipoh is famous for their white coffee.

But it is too thick for my liking.
Those who is cannot survive without coffee, should definitely try this.
I was all dizzy and bloated after this cup.

After a drink, went to Ipoh Parade to get some things settle.
Stopped by at Popular Bookstore.

I used to have reading as a hobby.
I used to read romance, thrillers and those investigations novels.
However for my course, I need to do a lot of extensive reading.
So I end of having this thought that how can I start reading novel and fictions
when I can't even finish my text books and references?

Anyways due to some problems in life.
Or maybe because I am getting older,
I start to realized that this bullshit university life is not everything.

I wanted to get back my reading habits.
I started off with some self enrichment book.
"50 simple ways to live longer life"

My Dad used to tell me,
no matter what book is it, just read.
Even if it is an entertainment magazine, comics, fashions etc
As long as you read, you will gain something new.

I also grabbed "Instant Korean" for my preparation for South Korea.
There are many audio learning and you can even download notes online.
However I wanted something which I can bring around daily and read whenever and wherever.

Alright, that was all for what happened yesterday.
Besides I puked after I reach my Uni because I am not used to drinking coffee.
And church at night.

Stay tuned for what is going to happen today and in the coming days.
I will put my life in photographs.
Photography is amazing. It's memory.
Big size pictures are amazing right?
Imma edit my blog layout :)
