Herbaline Facial: Overall Review

Yesterday I was feeling slight itch on my face and thus decided to go for facial treatment. Was supposed to go 2 weeks ago but I was lazy. The Chinese saying is true, there is no ugly woman, only lazy woman >.<

Due to my skin condition, I am supposed to do facial treatment every month, or once in 2-3 months. But due to my schedule, sometimes I cannot make it till 4-5 months. Now finally back home, I have all the time in the world, and free transport of course.

I went to Herbaline Kuching! My first facial was also at this exact location, 3 years back. Back then I saw their first trial promo at RM38. Blogged about it here. Good news is, they still have the first time promo!

The reasons I came back to Herbaline, read on~! ^^

After my first time with Herbaline Kuching, I tried many other places. Famous places include True Harmony (half an hour late from my appointment even though I came 15 mins earlier) and New York Skin Solutions (review). Both of those places gave me really bad experiences, I never went back. Also did facials at some beauticians and dermatologists saloons/clinics along the way. Some were okay but since I was always on the move it was not easy to stay with one place.

Since I do not have major skin problems, Herbaline offers basic and natural facials. They do not have much varieties but just what I need for monthly cleansing within budget!

What I like about Herbaline, they have franchise in most of the states in Malaysia! So far I went to 3 branches, in Kuching, Ipoh and Kuala Lumpur (addresses and details provided at the end of this post).

Yesterday was my third time with Herbaline Kuching. Good thing about being a regular (and satisfied) customer, they won't force you to purchase their products. Truthfully I am not using Herbaline products, I am currently using a clinical brand during to my super sensitive skin. I tried their blackhead gel, aloe vera gel and serums, none of the products I tried caused any breakouts.

I just did normal facial (Herbal Facial Spa), which is RM85 for 90 minutes treatment. For some branches it is RM79, I think West Malaysia branches (?). Any facials below RM100 is considered cheap (at least to me). There are other packages which are also considered within budget of RM100+-. Tried the moisturizing facial of approximately RM120 at Herbaline Ipoh and it was really satisfying.

Usually when I go for facial, the extraction part is so painful because I have many blackheads. I ended up with my face with reddish spots. I never exit Herbaline with reddish spots. 5 times in 3 different branches, I walked out free of blackhead and reddish spots. In Ipoh Herbaline I was most satisfied. They did not use steamer but just used some gel so that the blackheads "float" on their own. I always think steamer is not good for the pores.

Here is what I love most about Herbaline, their cooling and soothing mask! It is like the best thing ever, especially after the extraction. The mask helps me relax and actually makes me feel fresh :)

Herbaline also provide their signature treatments before/after your facial ^^

Natural sea salt foot spa

Aromatherapy

Lemongrass

Fish foot spa

Here are the 3 branches I went and feel really satisfied:

Kuching
G5 (Ground Floor), Precinct 88, Jalan Song, 93350 Kuching.
+6082 366 980

Kuala Lumpur (Lot 10 branch)
3rd Floor, Lot 10 Shopping Centre, 50, Jalan Sultan Ismail, 50250 KL
+603 2141 2581
+6014 2158 840

For the branch in Ipoh, it is a beauty saloon as Herbaline agent. It is not solely for Herbaline so the signboard is not Herbaline. I forgotten the name T____T but it is behind Jusco, a corner lot and located next to a Vegetarian Restaurant. Do call if you are unsure about the location. I was most satisfied with the treatment here :)

Ipoh
23, Jalan Medan Ipoh 6, Bandar Baru Medan, Ipoh, 31400, Ipoh, Perak

My experience: New York Skin Solutions

This is a lengthy post, supposed to be with pictures but am so tired since I slept only 5 hours last night. Maybe after I take a good sleep I will edit with pictures. Else if you don't mind, just read on.... ^^

I guess most of you heard of this, no doubt it is one of the best beauty centre(?) in Malaysia. So I being curious and I heard from some that it is good, I bought a RM25 facial voucher from Mydeal.com which is 95% after discount. The original price for the facial package once is around RM580. I went to the Festival City branch because it is the nearest to my condominium :)

(cr: Google image)

When I entered I was asked to wait. Maybe it was a Saturday so they had endless customers and nobody was there to serve me drink or ask me stuffs. After about 5 minutes I was flipping the before/after booklet, I was called into the consultation room. So I got my skin type and condition checked (skin analysis). I was told and how good/bad it is, why is it good/bad and what will they do to help us. The consultant/beautician drew image of skin layers and told me how the skin works beneath the surface. This whole process took maybe half an hour.

Looks something like this but of course different software used.
They didn't allow me to take picture or bring the paper they scribble on back =.=
(cr: Google image)

I was brought into the cubicle, got changed and started off my facial. They had sooo many masks on me and all of them are chilled so I was feeling quite cold. I seriously lost count of the number of masks they had on me wtf because in between I was snoozing off. Here is the problem. My original consultant/beautician was not feeling well so I had 3 other beauticians doing extraction and masks for me. And I do dislike so many people touching my face but because all of them had their own customers, I had to tolerate.

They did cleansing twice, a few sheet masks (all chilled), extraction in between the sheet masks (twice, by different people. I don't know they do it on purpose or because they changed people and do not know the previous beautician already did it??), honey + vitamin mask (this one is the best but I had to lie on the bed with stiff face and neck for quite a long time though she said 10minutes because all of the beauticians were too busy) and finally moisturizer. The whole process took 3 hours.

After I was done, I was brought to the consultation room. My skin is scanned and checked again. There are very drastic differences and for New York Skin Solutions, they are not normal facial centre but they emphasize on treatment and result. Which I really saw even after just one treatment.

They gave me superb discount and it was totally worth it but due to current financial burden, on me and my parents. The whole package of 10 times treatment cost RM4k with customized products (very detailed based on skin type and 30 masks). However, I told them I am financially unstable right now. I do not have a house, do not have a car, I barely save anything from my allowance and cost of living in KL is crazy.

It seemed that this part is quite difficult for them to understand. I spent 1 hour in the consultation room just telling them that I am financially unfit and my Mum would kill me if she knows I spent that crazy amount. They asked me to call my Mum, so after 5 trials I finally reached her and yeap, she scolded me on that time itself. And finally they offered a 3 times RM588 package. Again, I told her my pay is not in (which is super true) and my money now is just enough to eat wtf! She said it's okay just pay RM100 deposit first so I did! Heck I was in there for so long and I even made my Mum upset (and she was sick T____T)

I was supposed to pay the remaining RM488 during my next session but if I am to pay it on my own, with current financial condition, I might just die of starvation with a beautiful face wtf. After talking to my friends, I (we) decided that I should just assume I did a RM125 facial (still in face cheap since the actual price was RM500 over). True! Mum said I should do that when I am working and earning stable income (of course if there is excess, else...dream on..) And I got mini freebies.

(cr: Google image)

So there you go, RM25 facial because RM125. Still cheap and worth it but the was they push me, total hate and unacceptable! I told them I need my parents to know to spend such amount. I am 22 and an adult but the money is not mine! They kept saying just pay first, tell my Mum later and show her my face and tell her how worthy that money spent was ^%$^#$*%(#*%!! I'm still Mum's only daughter okayyy.

Should have took a selca of my before and after but I rarely take selca these days. Don't find myself amusing myself, what more to say amusing to others =.= My sudden rashes & pimples break out a month ago freaked myself out. Turned out it was probably due to allergy because it got better after my Mum gave me allergy medicine??

You can blacklist my name for neglecting that RM588 package you gave me. I know all of the beauticians are great people, they really wanted to help me and trying to give me the best price within my budget but please I am a poor person (who just happens to own a laptop and has internet connection wtf). I will be rich one day and buy the best package LOL

Mum sent a lengthy SMS after that and Dad sent a length e-mail. They must be worried shit cause I tried to call 5 times or so and my Mum ahd to explain why she didn't allow me to sign for the package. Ask me to study well and get a good job. Dad called and email to teach me how to have good skin without spending much money. I was so heartbroken T____T. Just let me have an ugly face but please make my parents happy >.< I will drink more water, take more vege & fruits, exercise more often, eat less oily food, protect myself from the sun (exact ad advises from my Dad, he even had them emphasize in bold in his email).

Currently doing well. Hitting the gym 4-5 times per week. Cardio for 40-45mins, some muscle shaping workouts (LOL here cause my Internship supervisor is a gym freak too and we bump into each other quite often and the other day he taught me how to use some machines. mind you, he's at least 55+). Drank juices, no oily food, at least 1.5L (?) per day (at least for now, I know it's much less but I used to drink lesser).

On a side note, I miss home....
That's all, bye..*sniff sniff*

With love,
Mei Lin

Korean skincare bargain!

I need to sell off the famous skincare from Korea. I was so excited when I grabbed these but most of them are impulsive purchase and turn out not suitable for my skin T___T  If you read my previous post you will see that I am currently using dermatologist recommended skincare to heal white heads, blackheads and terrible oil seeds.

The good thing is they are all great bargains!! because you get to offer me your price, but of course be reasonable. All are brought all the way from Korea and brand new!

1. MISSHA Super Aqua Detoxifying Peeling Gel

It's like when you say Korea, you think of Missha and The Face Shop wtf. Bought around RM30, don't ask me for the exact price because I bought all of the skincare with my friends, we shared receipt and receipts are gone FOL

2. INNISFREE Olive Real Power Cream

Okay who don't know SNSD aka Girl's Generation. And YooNa apparently is the apple of the famous girl group. Innisfree ambassador is YooNa of SNSD!! This cream is highly recommended for dry to combination skin. I just found out from my dermatologist that my skin is oily, which is why I had oil seeds. So big no for this. Retailed around RM60.

3. TONYMOLY Pore Tightening Set of 5

This is one product I had been looking for in Malaysia, for pore tightening. You always see products for whitening and hydrating but with large pores, none of these two products will work as you expect. Me and my friend grabbed this set without thinking much, plus, another friend who went to Korea months before mentioned that TonyMoly is her favourite Korean brand of all! Bought at around RM250 for set of 5. Set consists of Cleanser, Toner,Emulsion(lotion), Cream(moisturizer), Essence. And all the bottles are large size, not trial type.

Offer me your best price!!
And if you saw lower price on some website,
let me know perhaps I can offer you better :D

If you are from Kuching, we can meet up at the nearest location to you.
And I do ship all around Malaysia (minimum postage fee applied).

I really want to let go, no use using the products that don't suit me.
It's easy, just click the Korean Skincare Inquiry button below!
Put Korean Skincare under your subject :)

And thanks to the 60th follower!

I am thinking about giving free Skincare products to my readers. I got lots and lots of samples, which I cannot use as well due to my skin condition FML. Will think of an idea. Till then I will post less crappy stuffs and be more hardworking. *you know its not as true as it sounds wtf*

Kpop Music Festival in Sarawak

But turned out it was fake... T______T

The actual promotional poster shared. Yes, thissssss blur and you cannot even see the contact number. Which was why I was already thinking that this is a scam.

Anyways, I can see obviously no YG Ent artists and everyone knows I am pro YG fan, except SHINee from SM Ent but I saw SHINee after all wtf will blog about this, so I was not so fond. I want to see Big Bang and 2NE1!

It has been rumored since a day or two ago and I actually didn't believe it and might believe 50% Infinite's (one of the Kpop group "suppose" to perform) manager actually shared the promotional poster himself on Facebook. I immediately Google for the news but no official announcement, and I found out that Golden Disk Award in Osaka, Japan will be on 11 and 12 January. At least 80% of the "suppose" performers are confirmed attending, so how can they be at 2 places at a time??? FTL. Few hours after that an Infinite member confirmed that the news is fake wtf. Kuching never had a Kpop concert, not even a Korean star came... So the news was biggggg and I saw people even tagged all their buddies asking whether they wanna go together FHL.

Oh and I am not thattttt disappointed as well, not only because no YG artists but because on 12 Jan I am going somewhere else muahahhahaha

******

Anyways, came back home to a BBQ dinner. I was working the whole day so my brothers who are both on holidays did everything #likeaboss.

Cool thing about my family? We all drink and to my surprise my Mum said: "Sometimes drinking is good." And she said to my brother: "If you want more go and take yourself." And when we mix the portions with other gassy drinks, my Dad said: "Hmmm too dilute."  wtf. No, none of us are alcoholic. My dad just encouraged us to learn how to drink at young age so that we don't get drunk easily when asked to drink at dinner/party.

After dinner I told my Mum about my vacation plan to Thailand but I will be travelling for Christmas next week and another 2 weeks early January with my friends. Then maybe roadtrip during Chinese New Year. So we are spending really a lot. T___T Sorry Mummy~

******

Did I mention that I remove oil seeds @ Syringoma  on my face? I had really bad Syringoma because I have oily inner skin and dry outer skin. So the oil is not balance and keep coming out. Which is why I don't have pimple (pimple caused by both sides oily or outer only oily). Used laser treatment at Beauty Angel in Kuching. Experience, I can stand this more than extraction FML. Though you will smell burning smell and your heart beating extremely fast fearing the beautician will burn your whole skin wtf. And took at least 2 weeks for the dead cells to be removed.

I did mine at student price, RM600. ECF cream to speed up cell growth, RM168. These are not compulsory but to prevent reoccurance and spending more on laser again...I bought skincare worth RM208, soothing lotion and RM168, oil control serum both from BioScience. You good in Maths?? Yes, more than RM1k FML. But I am satisfied with the result, so far. And good thing about doing it at an official beauty centre and using the products recommended, is that you can always go back to them if anything goes wrong. Unlike using products from the counter such as from Watson or Guardian.

Alright...time for bed. 1 final week working as Admin Trainee. Gonna miss all the colleagues, they are so cute and the office is always full of laughter....and food...wtf.

True Harmony Kuching branch review

I have this sharing to make, or maybe a warning.

I went True Harmony, Kuching branch for trial facial last Saturday.

My appointment was 11.30am.

I arrived exactly at 11.30am, and I was asked to wait.

I wait for almost half an hour.

Waiting part still ok, they ask you to set at the sofa and read some magazines.

After that they call you in a room for some consultant.

They tell you which facial more suitable.

I think maybe I got cheated into a cheaper facial.

I paid for RM280 facial and got RM180 facial because apparently,

she said my skin too young for the RM280 facial.

If she was not cheating and knows more than me, then I am cool.

After that I went in the small room, get changed into the sarong.

She started doing the facial, telling me every steps.

At the same time, telling me my skin very dry.

Which I couldn't agree more.

The part I dislike the most is extraction.

Because my blackheads too big, too many...

but that was a necessary step to remove them.

Good thing she was considerate on my sensitive nose,

instead of using the tools, she just used cotton pads.

But there is this one part of my forehead with huge blackhead.

She pressed so hard, 3 times I think.

I was already tearing up that time.

After 3 days, that part is still swollen.

And I am guessing infection coming.

After the facial, which took 1.5hours rather than 1 hour as mentioned,

excluding the half an hour waiting time.....

she brought me into the room and start selling her products.

I kept rejecting since I am still using another product.

But she still ask me to try.

At last I just say I did not bring money cause I came just for trial.

And guess what she said???

"I talk so much to you and you end up not buying from me."

Now what is that going to do with me?

I am the customer, I got the choice to buy or not.

She kept promoting until I got so annoyed.

She took me another 12-20 minutes just to promote her products.

So from 11.30am, I finished at 2pm.

I was supposed to finish at 12.30noon according to the allocated time.

The products are really nice, from Germany.

I may try doing it in Ipoh branch and buy the products here.

But the Kuching branch is a big No No...

Am going to do review on the 2 BB Creams which I have tested on.

.
.
MISSHA PERFECT COVER in #23

Claims to:

-whitening

-sun protection with SPF40 PA++

-wrinkle & blemishes improvement

-anti-aging

My impression:

-more liquid base than Skin79 VIP Gold

-shade abit too grey, making it difficult to blend

-moisturizing enough for my dry skin

-coverage from fair to medium

-coverage rate 4/5

-oil control 3.5/5

-skin feels smooth after using

-no break outs or irritation after using

-not tested when I sweat so I'm not sure how it turns out

.
.
.

Overall I prefer Skin79 due to it's advantage in

more matching shade and better oil control.

Initially wanted to try out Dr.Jart's and BRTC BB creams

but the shades claim to be too fair for my skin type.

Would love to try Etude house, Face shop and Skin food next.

Herbaline facial promotion!!

Ok must show camwhore pic first so long didn't camwhore.

So squicky clean skin already....why? how?

Believe it or not, I am over 20 years old and I just did my first facial treatment.

Not that surprising?

Well what surprised me was that most guys in my Uni did facial way earlier than me.

Since this was my first facial, I wanted it to be a good or better, great impression.

I wouldn't want to stop doing facial here if suddenly many pimples *touchwood*

So my Mum introduced me to Herbaline, cause she saw the advertisement in the paper.

The beauticians there are so sweet, they helpfully answered all of our inquiries.

So my Mum left me for my facial, and she went shopping spree.

though we just bought sandal & blouse at Momoe *roll eyes* girls

It was my first time so I felt damn clumpsy, like what should I do wtf

I entered a wonderland dim room with soothing music.

Got free fish therapy as well.

The beautician asked me to change to a comfortable pair of bedroom slippers.

She brought me to these sinks on the floor wtf

I dip my feet into the warm water plus salt for feet spa,

she gave me a scrub and ask me to scrub myself wtf.

So I scrubbed for 5 mins until my arms got tired

After going to the wash room, I went for mini aroma therapy.

Sniff in the Lavender wap but maybe I was nervous so didn't feel much difference lol

Then she brought me upstairs to the therapy room.

In every room, there are lockers damn cute one wtf

She asked me wear the sarong and use the cap.

The sarong also damn cute look like long skirt or dress wtf why I so "sakai"

I lie down on the bed and she washed my face using the cleanser.

After that do wap. Okay I explain fast cause this part I was almost asleep.

After wap she cleaned my face again I think,

you know where they wipe using cotton pads feel so nice wtf

Then come the scary part, extraction!! the horror the horror wtf

First she used some machine which got lil electric shock and ultrasound thingy,

I think to bring the black and white heads to the surface.

The ultrasound made me superb dizzy, like ringing in the ear.

Then come the part she used all kinda tools to push the whatever heads wtf out

I felt like needles poking my face non stop.

And when it came to my nose ok my nose superb sensitive if touched I'll sneeze

I cried and cried and cried and infinity cried,

till the cotton on my eyes cannot hold any more tears.

I grabbed my sarong so tight like wtf help!!!

When she was finally done I was shivering.

Ya, my pain tolerance that low that's why needle scare the shit out of me

But finally the pain was over and relaxation takes place wtf

She cleaned my face and applied aloe vera mask cause my skin too dry.

She left me and asked me to relax but I was so traumatized my brain froze.

So I bought Herbaline blackhead removal cream intro by the beautician,

cause she said my pain tolerance very low cannot always go do facial wtf

Until I reached home I was unable to think wisely clearly.

If you wondered why so many wtf, is because I'm still in trauma.

But now my face smoother and no blackhead already,

first time really scary cause all whatever heads too many and too matured already.

No pictures, sorry cause my brain froze throughout the process so next time la ya...

Give you the logo only ok. wtf

For those who would wanna try, Herbaline having promotion now,

RM38 oily to normal skin.

If you have dry skin like me, top up RM5 for different mask.

Normal price is starting at RM79!!

Herbaline in Kuching is situated at Precint88, near Starbucks Jalan Song.

This is not an advertorial,

I just feel that it is worth a try so I'm sharing the good news!

I am a fairly satisfied customer.

The beautician said the promotion last till this year end or so.
